hello fellow collectors,
there’s quite a few more subscribers here than the last time i posted a music roundup, so i’d like to take this opportunity to reintroduce and define what this series is.
the alliterative series is my monthly recap of the music i’ve listened to, as well as other media and life moments that sustained me throughout the month. it’s titled as such because i use alliteration to name each edition in association with the month (admittedly, i’m running out of words for the letter j).
the series also includes frequent playlists, with enough songs to correspond with the number of days in that particular month. for instance, july’s playlist has 31 tracks. as of last year, these playlists also include sensory associations, similar to olfactory notes.
there are a few repeating subsections, with some sections being cycled in and out as necessary. i’ll explain further below.

~a new and random section since i’ve been inspired in the kitchen as of late~
ginger syrup
i added lavender, brown sugar, and cinnamon for a more diverse flavor profile. i also saved some of this syrup and the one below in ice cube trays to use all summer long!

easy vegan bread
yeah, i made this twice in one week and what about it? i’ll do it again.
sesame banana bread
i skipped the syrup in their instructions and paired this bread with the ginger syrup instead. yummy!!
Jamaican jerk oyster mushrooms with cabbage
i went back for seconds before the first plate was even done. if i’d had more of a stew, this would have been so good with the vegan bread.
