hello friends!
we’ve officially bid leo season farewell and welcome the sun in virgo.
last time i wrote about virgo, it was very specific to what was happening planetarily and socially at that given time. please check out the related post below for more perspective on what was happening on this day exactly a year ago. it also includes notable attributes about virgos and the volume 1 playlist <3
and of course, that post gave reverence to one of the hardest-working virgos around — Beyoncé herself. so you should know that it was basically required to include her new celebratory track “Virgo’s Groove” on this next playlist.
vol. 2 addresses the “boss babe/leader of the friend group” energy that virgos typically embody. but it also encapsulates the other aspects of self that may be neglected when one stays committed to grind culture and a façade of perfection — no matter your personal sun sign.
gentle reminder to us all that there’s absolutely nothing wrong with taking a break. the work and your developing skills will still be there when you return at your own pace.
to that same note, it’s also okay to make mistakes. for all my perfectionists out there, i get that practice makes perfect. but without rest and recovery, how can you really know where revision is needed? sometimes stepping away and approaching a procedure/problem/narrative with a refreshed mind is actually what’s need to bring about resolution.
all that really matters is that you try your best when you’re in action. otherwise, you may find yourself never quite meeting expectations because your own expectations require that you always exceed. sometimes good is better than perfect when you’ve even tried at all!
and this is not to suggest mediocrity, but rather that too many of us are working ourselves too hard on the daily — and at what cost??
like, is the input matching the expected output? how will certain actions benefit both individually and collectively? file this under QTNA!

i hope this resonates — i know i personally needed to reach this conclusion as the seasons change and we collectively transition from a time of playfulness to a more focused frame of mind.
anyway, here’s that playlist for your enjoyment and reflection.
