happy August!
as we enter the last breath of summer, the signs of fall’s arrival are appearing, most evident in the cooled-down temps at night and the yellowing foilage — and it’s only the second day of the month.
now is a great time to assess what is and isn’t working in order to align with what you truly need and desire. personally, i’m grappling with some tension i’ve been experiencing in my hands and wrists; with writing being my current livelihood and passion, i have to assess how i use the tools available to me for getting work done and i think i need to limit my time on the phone and computer to give my hands some rest.
this doesn’t mean i’ll be stopping the longform essays, but i will continue to explore other mediums to share with you all through this platform. one update that i’m excited to announce is a guest curator series i’m starting this month. i’m aiming for one post during the second week of each month and i’m excited to introduce some local artisans and entrepreneurs to this community.
for today’s post, i’ll conclude by sharing my third mix, deep cuts vol. 3! it’s available for streaming on Mixcloud — subscribers heard it first! it’s a sound collage that explores themes of truth, surveillance, and awareness on varying levels.
hope you enjoy the mix! catch you next time <3
