style rockstars pt. 2
you mean to tell me The Queen of Rock 'n' Roll has yet to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? make it make sense!
on the last edition of things i collected, i introduced you to some of my favorite Black style rockstars. today, i present 3 more standouts and icons of androgynous fashion: Andre 3000, Yves Tumor, and the late, great Prince.
Andre 3000
Yves Tumor
Prince
i also want to note that after releasing my style rockstars post, the list of potential Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2021 inductees was announced with Tina Turner as a contender. it was much to my dismay (and that of many others online) to discover that the Queen of Rock n Roll had yet to be inducted (as a solo artist). i echo this tweet when i say no one else should be inducted until she is.
on a similar note, one of the founding members of The Supremes, Ms. Mary Wilson, passed away this week at the age of 76. dearest condolences to her family and loved ones. in her honor, the upcoming monday edition of the newsletter will be a story on The Supremes A’ Go-Go record in my collection.
lastly, we are still in the midst of a new moon in aquarius, so i’ve compiled a playlist featuring Black Aquarian musicians to take you into the weekend.
