are you prone to seeing repeating numbers (i.e. on clocks, license plates, receipts, etc)? i’ve seen 3:33 in various instances since i was a child and it wasn’t until i got older that i came to understand the spiritual significance of this angel number in my own life. now, i’m more accustomed to seeing these types of digits repeat in both IRL and online — in the form of status update times, song lengths, as a topic of frequent discussion on Twitter, and even in my own 3:33 tattoo that sits just below the nape of my neck (i typically send out these blog posts at a corresponding angel number time (as long as Substack publishes my queued post on time)).
this phenomenon could simply be attributed to how our brains process patterns and as someone with OCD, i understand that my own brain is specifically prone to recognizing patterns within numbers. counting is a very common symptom of OCD and i like things in repetitions of threes. i even find myself looking at larger numbers and trying to find a common repeating denominator.
but i also believe that if a number personally resonates with you, then it could be viewed as a divine sign from your spirit guides. the presence of angel numbers is not exclusive to digits that repeat in doubles or triples, but you will hear about these types more often.
i can recall being in middle/high school on any given day and hearing someone shout out to make a wish as the clock reached 11:11. on the same note, the recent date November 11 is thought to be a very auspicious day for manifesting. but perhaps it was JAY-Z’s album 4:44 that brought angel numbers even more to mainstream perception (the title track also clocks in at that exact length). safe to say, artists like Tinashe have followed suit as her 2021 album holds the divinely guided title 3:33.
one very popular angel number is 777, associated with luck, money, and prosperity. i was recently reminded of this number and its connection to Lady Luck upon hearing the track of the same name on the new Silk Sonic album. for the weekend ahead, i highly recommend you give this album a listen. Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak are basically musical soulmates. and this album is honestly perfect for someone like me who modeled a lot of their adolescent personality around being inspired by the ‘70s. this influence obviously prevails.
i’ll leave you with the track “777” and a heads up that the next recollections post is soon to come…i’m very excited for that one to arrive in your inbox!
catch you next time <3
